I don't know if it's better or worse, but I went to Chase bank (Hurlingham branch) gave them my pp, visa, and about ten minuets on a bench, and had an account (Checking), But I hear you, tried to open an account at KCB, and got bored of waiting-
btw, Conference this weekend if your interested (Nyanuki area, but leaves form Nairobi)
